Give models a role
Separate source ingestion, cleaning and the tables meant for analysis. Use names that describe the content, not the person who wrote the query.
Make dependencies explicit
A transformation depends on upstream data. Making that relationship readable helps you understand execution order and the impact of a change.
Add checks that matter
Verify the uniqueness of identifiers and the presence of essential fields. A check should protect a concrete business expectation, not merely restate the model's code.
THINK IT THROUGH
From the concept to a concrete case
Pick a page of the laboratory. Which interaction do you want to observe? Write the event name, two parameters and one case where it should not fire.
